Marshalls PLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team at our manufacturing site in Halifax. As a key member of our Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous running of our production process by eliminating downtime through safe and logical fault finding and maintenance of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Eliminate downtime through safe and logical fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
  • Work on various different types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Carry out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on-site.
Requirements
  • A good mechanical working knowledge with electrical experience is essential.
  • Time served/apprentice trained in a similar position ideally with Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent).
  • A thorough understanding of the IEE 18th edition.
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Practical hands-on approach.
  • Have significant experience, understanding, and knowledge of the maintenance of a variety of plant, ideally in Wet Press, cropping and mixing plants.
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Previous PLC experience (Allen Bradley) would be a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives and Team leaders from both maintenance and production.
