Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced First Aid Officer to join our team at Midsomer Norton Primary. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality first aid service to students, staff, and visitors, while also coordinating our First Aiders and administering prescribed drugs and medicines as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administer first aid provision to students, staff, and visitors, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  2. Coordinate and manage our First Aiders, providing guidance and support as needed.
  3. Administer prescribed drugs and medicines to students as required, in accordance with established protocols.
  4. Develop and maintain a comprehensive first aid kit and ensure it is regularly restocked.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and efficient first aid service.
  6. Provide training and education to staff and students on first aid procedures and protocols.

Requirements:

  1. Valid First Aid qualification.
  2. Excellent administration and organizational skills.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage and build positive working relationships with students, colleagues, and external partners.
  4. Strong IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and databases.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  6. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
