Position Overview:

This role is situated within the managed services division at Version 1, primarily focusing on the support of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist with JDE CNC support. While proficiency in JDE CNC is preferred, it is not mandatory at the beginning, as comprehensive training will be provided. Although the main responsibilities will lie within managed services, there will be opportunities to engage in projects related to both JDE and Oracle Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and resolve tickets within the managed service environment, addressing various issues.
  • Utilize key skills to troubleshoot networking issues within Oracle Cloud.
  • Oversee JDE environments, performing tasks such as applying patches and executing upgrades.

Essential Skills:

  • OCI: Proficient in supporting Oracle Cloud environments.
  • DevOps: Experience with Terraform for comprehensive cloud infrastructure implementations.
  • Linux: Administrative capabilities, including user account creation and block volume management; candidates with basic Linux command line knowledge will be considered, with training available.
  • OCI: Familiarity with IPSec VPNs.
  • OCI: Expertise in diagnosing network routing and security group issues within OCI.
  • OCI: Experience with user management and IAM policies.

Desirable Skills: (Note: Lack of these skills will not hinder the interview process)

  • Fastconnect: Experience with Fastconnect configurations.
  • Oracle Database: Familiarity with Oracle databases, including TNS connections and database links.
  • SQL Server: Experience with SQL Server databases.
  • OIC: Knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud, particularly in provisioning and working with connectivity agents.
  • JDE CNC: Ability to maintain and support JDE environments, including applying patches, package deployment, system checks, performance monitoring, and upgrades.

Oracle Certified CNC Administrator
