Job Summary:

The Cooplands Brand Trainer will be responsible for delivering training and development programs across multiple sites in Durham and Scarborough. This role will involve working closely with operational teams to identify, design, and facilitate training solutions that meet the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver face-to-face and virtual learning programs across Retail, including the induction program, supporting initiatives, and business change.
  • Be present in the field to understand how to support ongoing operational improvement and be agile to respond to these needs.
  • Adapt training for location, group size, learning styles, etc.
  • Proactively liaise with operational teams to understand future training requirements.
  • Review and evaluate the effectiveness of training, ensuring that any knowledge and skill gaps are identified and appropriate actions/interventions are put in place.
  • Complete training records, provide data and reports, and manage the administration of training programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure training is delivered consistently, opportunities for improvement are put into place, and the training provision meets the required need.
  • Demonstrate ability to identify needs, develop tools, deliver training (face-to-face & online), and evaluate learning.
  • A working knowledge of blended learning and 70/20/10 methodology.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan, prioritize, and manage time to meet deadlines across multiple projects.
  • Experience of designing and developing learning resources using a variety of tools.
  • Experience of using online tools such as MS Teams, SharePoint, Excel.
  • Willing to travel, adaptable, and flexible with regards to hours.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Professional training qualification – desirable.
  • Experience/knowledge of working in Food Retail – desirable.
  • Full clean driving license – essential.
