Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Project Controls Engineer to take on responsibilities for a prominent Water/Utilities initiative.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
The Senior Project Controls Engineer will collaborate with our project controls team on a significant infrastructure endeavor, offering performance reporting and analytical support.
This role may involve being part of a larger team or serving as the primary day-to-day liaison with the client.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Typical tasks include collaborating with cost and planning engineers to create work breakdown structures and solid performance baselines, implementing progress and cost monitoring techniques, generating project control reports, and delivering performance analysis and recommendations for our clients.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience in a project controls setting on a major project or program within the Infrastructure sector
(Preferably Water/Utilities) is advantageous. However, to effectively fulfill the role's responsibilities, candidates must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding/experience of the following:
Earned value management, progress updates, cost management, change management, baseline oversight, reporting, and P6 environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong numerical and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, planning software such as Primavera, and reporting databases.
Typically, a qualified graduate in a relevant field with some pertinent work experience or proven experience in a project control environment is required.
