Job Description

Job Title: Injection Moulding Technician

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Hastings, East Sussex

Salary: £39,000 - £40,000 per annum + Bonus + Matched Pension + Holidays + Overtime

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our injection moulding equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Programming: Program and operate injection moulding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with moulding processes to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Mould Changes and Set-ups: Perform mould changes and set-ups within scheduled time frames to maintain production efficiency.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, output, and productivity to inform process improvements.
  • Quality Control: Ensure output meets quality and time requirements, and report any deviations to management.
  • Process Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials processing and moulding operations to optimize production.

Requirements:

  • Education: Plastics Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in an injection moulding production or engineering environment.
  • Skills: Demonstrable knowledge of tool setting, materials processing, packing, automation systems, and robotics.
