We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Staff Nurse to join our Paediatric Intensive Care team. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for the assessment and development of care plans for children, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the nursing team in the Paediatric Intensive Care unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective communication with colleagues.
- Develop and implement holistic care plans for children, taking into account their individual needs and circumstances.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their development and success.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with best practice and regulatory requirements.
- NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support.
- Post Graduate experience working in a PICU setting.
- Understanding of Safeguarding issues.
- Teaching and mentoring experience desirable.
- Completion of a PICU Course that is equivalent to 60 credits.
- Excellent clinical governance and experience with audits.
