Job Title: SEN Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Tutor to join our team at TeacherActive. As an SEN Tutor, you will work with children with special educational needs, providing one-to-one support and helping them to reach their full potential.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and experience working with children with special needs. You will be responsible for providing individualized support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with special educational needs
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of each student
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless support for students
  • Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to keep them informed of student progress and any concerns
Requirements:
  • QTS or HLTA qualifications
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
