We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our dynamic team at Toro Recruitment. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for managing the financial performance of utility projects, ensuring cost control and value for money.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed cost analysis, including estimates, forecasts, and budgets for utility projects.
- Oversee procurement processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts, change orders, and variations to minimize financial risks.
- Monitor project expenditures and provide regular cost performance reports.
- Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and contractors to implement cost-effective solutions.
- Perform cost audits and produce accurate financial reports.
- Assess and mitigate risks related to project costs and contractual obligations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in cost management.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience working with NEC contracts within the utilities sector.
- Experience managing projects ranging from £100k to £20m.
- Strong knowledge of cost management principles, contract law, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in cost estimating, financial analysis, and budget management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with relevant cost management software and tools.
- Competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum.
- Company car or car allowance of £450 per month.
- Hybrid working model: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
- 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
- 5% matched pension contribution.
