The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance within our organisation, promoting a culture of safety and compliance, and providing expert advice on safety and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance:
    • Manage the audit plan and lead auditor for approvals
    • Undertake internal audits and audits of sub-contractor organisations
    • Oversight of the management and closure of findings and observations
    • Prepare compliance monitoring performance data
    • Generate audit checklists in Centrik
    • Support the approval of providers
    • Be proactive in identifying and addressing compliance issues
    • Provide advice on compliance matters
    • Support external auditors
    • Deputise for the Head of Safety and Compliance
  • Safety:
    • Promote and embody the behaviours that demonstrate a commitment to safety
    • Work with the Head of Safety and Compliance and Safety Reporting Manager to promote aviation safety
    • Conduct investigations and root cause analysis related to operational and training safety cases
    • Support the identification, documentation, and management of hazards
    • Support the provision of safety and safety performance data
    • Support the Safety Reporting Manager in the management of Safety Action Groups
    • Support the production of safety documentation
    • Support the development and provision of safety training
    • Provide advice on safety matters
Requirements:
  • Highly Desirable:
    • Have a reasonable understanding of CAA Regulations
    • Trained Auditor with experience in undertaking internal audits
    • Experience in the investigation of occurrences
    • Experienced in the use of Centrik for safety and compliance management
    • At least 2 years experience in a safety or compliance role for a helicopter company
    • At least 5 years experience in either flight or ground operations, maintenance, or continuing airworthiness management for a helicopter company
    • Located within commuting distance of Biggin Hill
  • Essential:
    • Have the qualities to improve the safety culture and gain the respect of staff
    • Have analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Be effective at oral and written communication
    • Have an understanding of human and organisational factors
    • At least 5 years experience in either flight or ground operations, maintenance, or continuing airworthiness management for an aviation-related company
    • Willing to undertake the required training to gain competency in safety and compliance tasks
    • Located within commuting distance of either Biggin Hill
