About the Role

This position is for a Senior Audit Professional in the Accounting and Finance department of a professional services company, Michael Page Finance. The role requires a meticulous individual with the ability to perform a variety of accounting tasks and contribute to the team's overall success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the planning and execution of audits, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Preparing financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards, utilizing expertise in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Carrying out tests on the company's control environment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports to managers and partners, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Supporting the team in delivering high-quality services to clients, fostering strong relationships and building trust.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data, maintaining the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Contributing to team meetings and sharing best practice knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry developments and trends.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.

Requirements

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a strong academic record and relevant work experience.
  • Practical experience in an accounting or auditing role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
  • The ability to work independently and meet deadlines, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
