Job Summary
MacGregor Black is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in a permanent role based in Livingston. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and support line change-overs to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
- Contribute to the delivery of the engineering department's vision and strategic plan, aligning with the company's overall objectives.
- Monitor and maintain production Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to meet site Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvements within the engineering environment, driving continuous process enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory regulations, and factory-wide systems for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to support the planning and execution of capital engineering projects.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with peers, building credibility and trust within the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a FMCG environment, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Educated to HNC level or equivalent, with a solid foundation in engineering principles.
- Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Predictive Maintenance (PPM), and Continuous Improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
