Job Overview:
This pivotal role involves executing both scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks across various locations. The primary objective is to perform non-technical repairs and minor planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Additionally, you will assist in executing both planned and urgent maintenance, including electrical and mechanical plant operations at different sites.

All tasks will be conducted to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities:
Performance

  • Prioritize and complete minor maintenance and repair tasks within agreed timelines.
  • Execute all necessary PPM and reactive maintenance schedules within set timeframes, ensuring all required documentation is accurately completed.
  • Respond promptly and positively to service requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and performing repairs as needed.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment required for minor maintenance and repairs are available and in good working condition at all times.
  • While primarily assigned to a specific area for PPM tasks, you may occasionally be required to attend other sites within the organization to perform work.
  • Collaborate with company and client colleagues to maintain established quality standards at all times.
  • Represent the organization professionally at all times and foster positive working relationships with City and client colleagues.
  • Assist other City technicians/teams with any major or minor maintenance tasks.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor and update the Mercury system, including live job updates.
  • You will be required to undertake minor plumbing tasks, and experience in plumbing, whether commercial or domestic, would be beneficial.
Process

  • Adhere to the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • Complete all mandatory online training and Evolve modules.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and management.
  • Ensure all costs are pre-approved.
Other

  • Undertake any other reasonable duties and/or responsibilities as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A level 2 trade qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds / Apprenticeship).
  • Previous experience in multi-skilled building maintenance is essential.
  • Plumbing skills/experience/qualification.
  • A valid driving license is required.
  • Ability to maintain and repair a variety of equipment.
  • Quality of repairs and maintenance.
  • Speed and efficiency in work.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient PC skills – both Apple and Android.
  • Timely response to service requests within agreed response times.
  • Achievement of PPM schedules within agreed timelines.
  • Maintenance of Health and Safety policies.
  • Strong relationships and feedback from clients and City colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
