Job Description

Job Title: Nurse Specialist - Cared for Children

Job Summary:

The Transformation Unit is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a Nurse Specialist - Cared for Children, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality healthcare services to looked after children and cared for children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans to improve health outcomes for looked after children and cared for children.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless care coordination and ensure timely interventions.
  • Develop and implement health promotion programs to educate caregivers and children about healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to caregivers and children on managing chronic conditions and addressing mental health concerns.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance healthcare services and outcomes for looked after children and cared for children.

Requirements:

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK.
  • Experience working with looked after children and cared for children, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and caregivers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address healthcare needs and concerns.
