We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced public health consultant to join our team in Screening Oversight and Assurance Scotland (SOAS) within the Clinical Directorate. The successful candidate will contribute to the national coordination of Scotland's six national screening programmes.
The ideal candidate will possess a detailed knowledge of screening and substantial experience of working at consultant level within national screening programmes. They will be a member of the Faculty of Public Health or equivalent, registered on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council in Public Health with a licence to practise, or on the UK Public Health (Specialist) Register.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the national coordination of Scotland's six national screening programmes
- Work closely with the Screening Oversight and Assurance Scotland (SOAS) team to ensure effective programme delivery
- Develop and implement strategies to improve screening outcomes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless programme coordination
- Membership of the Faculty of Public Health or equivalent
- Registration on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council in Public Health with a licence to practise, or on the UK Public Health (Specialist) Register
- Substantial experience of working at consultant level within national screening programmes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
