We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our Neuro and Trauma team as a static band 6 Trauma Physiotherapist. This is an excellent opportunity for a Physiotherapist with an interest in Trauma to work in a large major Trauma centre, home to London's Air Ambulance Service.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients following major trauma. This will include advanced assessment and treatment, provision of individual and group education and treatment, provision of assistive devices (orthotics) and equipment, and respiratory assessment and treatment.
The Physiotherapist will work as part of a large, friendly, and dynamic multidisciplinary team, based at Royal London hospital. The role will provide opportunities to develop knowledge, skills, and experience with working with those with traumatic brain injury, polytrauma, spinal cord injury, soft tissue injuries including those requiring flaps/grafts and degloving injuries, multiple orthopaedic injuries, and injuries of the organs.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have a Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy, HCPC Registration, and evidence of continuing professional development and a CPD portfolio. They will also have post graduate experience working as a physiotherapist within an acute hospital setting, completed junior rotations in core specialities of respiratory, neurology, musculoskeletal and orthopaedics, and band 6 level experience in trauma & orthopaedics.
They will also have experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team and/or multi-disciplinary team, and contribution to clinical education of less experienced staff and/or students or assistants. Experience of working in acute major trauma centre is desirable.
