HRC and Waste Transfer Supervisor

Major Recruitment is currently seeking a Waste Management Operations Lead.
This role involves overseeing operations at a Waste Transfer Station and a Household Waste Recycling Centre. A background in waste management is essential for this position.
Work Schedule
This is an onsite role, typically Monday to Friday, with flexible hours generally from 8 AM to 4 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license
- CoTC for Waste Transfer Station (preferably with Hazardous Waste experience)
- Experience in haulage, load scheduling, and waste management operations is preferred.
Compensation
Pay ranges from £250 to £350 per day.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead site teams to ensure effective collection and segregation of waste streams.
2. Collaborate with site staff to facilitate smooth operations.
3. Advise clients on best practices for waste segregation.
4. Provide health and safety support on-site, ensuring compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.
5. Complete all health and safety reports thoroughly.
6. Ensure all staff adhere to safe working practices.
Daily Duties
- Manage day-to-day site operations.
- Conduct necessary staff management on-site.
- Serve as a role model for conduct and behavior.
- Monitor skips and containers to prevent overloading.
- Investigate incidents to determine root causes.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures at all times.
- Oversee daily time management of site staff.
- Provide guidance to employees as needed.
- Foster a positive work environment and culture while ensuring compliance with safety policies.
- Deliver training and regular team briefings through toolbox talks and plant briefs.
- Implement process improvements for cost reduction.
- Conduct regular audits and observations of operations.
- Motivate, train, and develop team members.
- Perform any other reasonable job-related tasks as required.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
