The Associate Manager, Specimen Management is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Specimen Management department, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a quality manner. This role involves supervising a team of individuals, planning for department growth, and driving new initiatives to improve efficiency and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor staff to ensure effective delivery of services.
- Develop and implement operational objectives to improve performance and efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with quality control systems and procedures.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with global counterparts to drive consistency of process.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external clients for problem resolution and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4 years of experience in Specimen Management or related clinical lab services function.
- Strong understanding of operations and methods.
- Knowledge of study set up and cross-functional/system dependencies.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
