Position Overview

This role encompasses a versatile position for an individual skilled in operating forklift trucks, integrating a variety of logistics and warehouse responsibilities for substantial goods. Key tasks include coordinating collections for various freight methods and managing incoming goods while collaborating closely with our Internal Logistics team, which oversees the replenishment of essential materials.

Work Schedule: Standard hours are Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 17:00, and Friday from 08:00 to 13:00.

Essential Qualifications

Key Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid counterbalance forklift license with current operational experience.
  • Proficiency in PC-based ERP systems, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret and manage Delivery Notes effectively.
  • Team-oriented mindset with comfort in a manufacturing setting.
  • Flexibility to cover departmental absences as needed.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in managing logistics-related correspondence.
  • Excellent time management capabilities, with the ability to multitask and work independently under tight deadlines.

Shipping Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all customs compliance protocols and documentation, participating in regular audits.
  • Generate dispatch notes and ensure accurate item bookings using Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Assist Planning & Production in the timely dispatch of sales orders, maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Conduct daily closing and booking of work orders.
  • Ensure correct identification of products and stock locations.
  • Process documentation for outgoing shipments, including delivery notes and export certificates.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries directed to the logistics mailbox.

Warehouse Duties:

  • Ensure timely availability of items for dispatch to containers and trucks.
  • Accurately label and promptly store goods in designated locations.
  • Assist with periodic inventory assessments of the warehouse.
  • Safely and efficiently load and unload delivery vehicles.
  • Operate multiple counterbalance forklift trucks safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Handle manual tasks involving boxes, crates, and bags.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal logistics and production teams.

Receiving Duties:

  • Accurately book all received raw materials and components into the ERP system.
  • Coordinate with various departments to resolve any delivery discrepancies.
  • Safely unload delivery vehicles.
