We are seeking an experienced Claims Adjuster to join our Casualty team at Davies. As a Liability Loss Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating allocated claims, compiling evidence, and preparing reports to determine the appropriate action for resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with Insurers, Policyholders, and Brokers to gather information and resolve claims.
- Investigate claims in the field or from the desk, gathering and documenting evidence as necessary.
- Prepare Preliminary Reports detailing the evidence available and commenting on policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tactics.
- Determine the appropriate action for resolution of the case, including defending or negotiating settlement within agreed authority limits.
- Correspond with all parties professionally to progress the case to conclusion.
- Investigate and handle all cases in accordance with client requirements, referring to documented procedures as necessary.
- Maintain a proper reserve at all times by regular review.
- Stay up-to-date on technical changes relevant to the role, participating in training programs facilitated by the company.
