As a key member of our delivery operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of customer orders. You'll work closely with a Driver's Mate to navigate local routes, maintain excellent communication with customers, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and safety.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before each journey
  • Securely package customer orders for safe transportation
  • Collaborate effectively with your Driver's Mate to manage order information and delivery schedules
  • Provide clear and courteous communication with customers, keeping them informed throughout the delivery process
  • Assist in unloading deliveries at customer premises, ensuring careful handling of goods
  • Collect and process returns efficiently and professionally
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines
  • Complete necessary paperwork and administrative tasks accurately
  • Maintain open communication with Transport Management regarding any potential delays or issues
  • Comply with all relevant Tachograph legislation
Your Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local road networks and traffic patterns
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience, including 12 months of Class 2 experience
  • Valid HGV and CPC license in good standing
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with multi-drop deliveries is highly desirable
