About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Electrical Engineer to join our team at Marshalls plc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous running of our plant by eliminating downtime through safe and logical approaches to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on-site, ensuring the efficient operation of our plant.
  • Conduct thorough fault finding and maintenance of complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Work on various types of equipment, including stone processing machines, and be comfortable working at heights using ladders, cherry pickers, and scaffold towers.
  • Collaborate with operatives and team leaders from maintenance and production to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Requirements
  • Good working knowledge of Electrical Maintenance & Engineering with some Mechanical Engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Time served/apprentice, ideally trained in a similar position with appropriate Electrical Qualifications such as City & Guilds Electrical Engineering & 18th Edition.
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues.
  • Practical hands-on approach and happy working in a dirty environment.
  • Significant experience, understanding, and knowledge of the maintenance of a variety of plant.
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives, team leaders from both maintenance and production.
