Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Day Driver to join our team at Gregory Group. As a Class 1 Day Driver, you will be responsible for delivering refrigerated products to retail stores in the Inverness area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering refrigerated products to retail stores in a safe and timely manner.
- Loading and unloading refrigerated vehicles with tail lifts, ensuring load security.
- Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork and manage routes.
- Planning routes on a day-to-day basis to optimize delivery times.
- Providing excellent customer service and communicating with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
- Collaborating with the transport team to ensure smooth operations and manage customer expectations.
- Attending regular training sessions to maintain and improve skills.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience with refrigerated trailers and tail lifts is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Confident, polite, and a team player with good geographical knowledge.
- Fitness, flexibility, hard work, and self-motivation are essential for this role.
