Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Supporting Education Professional to join our team at TeacherActive. As a Supporting Education Professional, you will be working closely with a small group of children and often on a 1:1 basis for children who need extra support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with work set by the class teacher and work as part of a team.
- Provide support to children with varying challenges, including those with communication difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
- Work effectively with Makaton and/or PECS.
- Provide personal care and support as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant with a background in Special Educational Needs.
- Ability to use Makaton and/or PECS effectively.
- Warm and caring individual who truly puts the children first.
- Able to work as part of a team and provide support to children with varying challenges.
