We assist students aged 8-19 in acquiring essential life skills, qualifications, and the confidence needed to progress in their lives.

CareTech Group has a proud history of aiding students aged 8–18 with Autism, Social Emotional, Mental Health, and Complex Needs, providing them with crucial guidance, life skills, qualifications, and the confidence to navigate their journey towards independence. Key Responsibilities:

Implement plans and directives from the Educator or Instructor.
Utilize specialized skills and training to assist learners effectively.
Support the development and execution of learner behavior support plans, individual risk assessments, and communication strategies.
Establish constructive working relationships with learners, serving as a role model and setting high expectations.
Encourage the inclusion and acceptance of all learners within the educational setting.
Provide consistent support to learners while recognizing and addressing their individual needs.
Motivate learners to engage positively and collaborate with peers, ensuring all learners participate in activities.
Foster independence and apply strategies to acknowledge and reward self-reliance achievements.
Offer feedback to learners and your supervisor regarding progress, accomplishments, and challenges.
Collaborate with the educator to create an appropriate learning atmosphere.
Assist the educator in lesson planning, evaluating, and adjusting lessons/work plans as necessary.

Candidate Profile:

Experience working with children and/or young individuals in an educational setting.
Experience with complex needs.
Understanding of the Educational, Health, Care Plan process.
Familiarity with Data Protection Act and confidentiality matters.
Possess a recognized qualification (NVQ level 3 or equivalent) or be working towards this within the first year.
Good general education standard, particularly in English & Maths at GCSE Level C or equivalent.
Strong IT proficiency.
L2 Certificate in Understanding Autism (desirable).
