About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Insight Manager to join our Claims department, focusing on Financial Crime. As a key member of our team, you will lead efforts to enhance financial crime management by improving data analysis and business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategies to mitigate financial loss and regulatory risks, with a focus on anti-money laundering compliance.
- Craft fraud prevention strategies and ensure consistency with policies throughout the company.
- Improve management information and BI on financial crime to inform strategic priorities and minimize financial loss.
- Monitor threat and risk trends to direct financial crime strategy, prioritize initiatives, and advise risk discussions.
- Lead projects to improve the company's ability to mitigate losses from financial crime.
- Improve detection solutions and operational procedures to enhance fraud detection rates and reduce financial loss.
- Develop team capabilities and processes for utilizing external intelligence to increase fraud detection and inform strategy.
- Ensure efficient procedures for responding to law enforcement inquiries to minimize operational impact and derive financial benefits.
- Implement and design procedures for compliance with anti-money laundering legislation to mitigate regulatory and reputational compliance risks.
- Maintain high-quality communications with Financial Crime business leaders.
- Design and implement procedures to handle a large volume of intelligence items.
- Manage data collation and analysis from multiple departments and data sources across the company.
- Identify financial crime threats, trends, or gap closures and advocate for overall prioritization in strategy and deployment of resources.
Requirements
- Technical understanding of MI data sources and analysis, threat/risk assessment, and intelligence operations.
- Knowledge of relevant AML and Proceeds of Crime legislation.
- Broad knowledge of fraud/financial crime risk management for both insider and external fraud.
- Understanding of Anti-Money Laundering/Proceeds of Crime and Suspicious Activity Reporting regimes as applicable to general insurance.
- Track record of implementing, enhancing, and delivering high-quality management information reporting.
- Experience in implementing and directing intelligence management procedures.
- Ability to leverage an existing base of industry and law enforcement contacts.
