Environmental Engineering Trainee Job Overview:

  • Conduct technical assessments and provide feedback on wastewater management systems;
  • Analyze stormwater control strategies and sediment management plans;
  • Review applications for environmental permits related to residential, commercial, and industrial developments;
  • Investigate and propose solutions for compliance issues;
  • Evaluate proposals for shoreline protection and offer expert recommendations;
  • Examine jurisdictional inquiries; and
  • Support engineering evaluations for State Land assessments and Local Government initiatives.

The selected candidate will be expected to participate in field evaluations to assess Agency activities and collaborate with project stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and various governmental entities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication abilities and effectively convey findings and recommendations.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings, site assessments, and relevant conferences as required.
