About the Role

MUFG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Loan Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Loans Middle Office, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely servicing of loan facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Front Offices in the new product and servicing of loans.
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure loan processing is completed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor loan triggers throughout the lifecycle to ensure loan servicing is accurate.
  • Utilize expert knowledge of loan products and markets to manage loan facilities portfolios.
  • Provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff to assist with loan completion and servicing.
  • Verify and validate transactions to ensure precise and correct instructions are delivered to processing areas.
  • Oversee the creation of control tools to administer client facilities.
  • Continually review and challenge processes to maximize efficiency and revenue streams.
  • Ensure accurate and timely information flow to enable management and stakeholders to act appropriately.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate smooth transition from termsheet to financial close and beyond.
  • Work autonomously to resolve operational issues and implement preventative measures.
  • Operate as a product specialist providing subject matter expertise.
  • Stay up-to-date with market developments and be instrumental in Change Management.

Requirements

  • Considerable experience in a Financial Institution Middle Office or Control function.
  • Operational experience of loan products.
  • Operational and administrative knowledge of the loan market.
  • Experience in reviewing loan agreements.
