Transport Planner

Stobart, a leading ambient transport and logistics business, is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our Transport team at our Rugby site on a full-time permanent basis.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual to contribute to the success of our transport team. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of our transport operation.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Transport and Warehouse teams to develop an efficient transport plan using the latest Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Plan and manage daily workload of fleet vehicles based on site and out bases.
- Plan collections per day on a time-critical basis.
- Utilize the Culina Group network to support Stobart's operations when volumes dictate.
- Ensure efficient use of resources and minimize costs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Proven experience in transportation planning and management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
