ZipRecruiter is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing junior staff, undertaking engineering designs, and providing project management and administration duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement company procedures and policies.
  • Carry out electrical design and project management of various types of projects in accordance with company aims and policies.
  • Manage the design team and provide electrical engineering support to all electrical engineers.
  • Liaise with clients and attend meetings on all aspects of the projects.
  • Carry out surveys and produce reports.
  • Conduct quality inspections of projects.
  • Use CAD systems in line with company procedures.
  • Monitor financial aspects of projects.
  • Formulate electrical standards within the organization.
  • Produce drawings manually and through CAD (CAD experience essential).
  • Project management of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Experience using Windows, Excel/Word, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of CIBSE Guides, IEE Regulations, CDM Regulations, British Standards, and Revit/BIM.
  • Project experience in the Residential, Education, Commercial, and Leisure sectors.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with CAD systems and project management software.
