Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Warehouse Operative to join our team at Brakes, the UK's largest foodservice supplier. As a key member of our distribution centre team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality fresh and frozen food and ingredients to our customers across the nation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Picking, packing, and checking the quality of ambient, chilled, and frozen food items
  • Working in a fast-paced environment to meet customer demands and deadlines
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Providing excellent customer service and support to internal and external customers

Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse experience is not necessary, but a willingness to learn and develop new skills is essential
  • Ability to lift weights of up to 25kg and work in a cool environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings
