Job Summary
As a key member of the MSX - TPS team, the Warehouse Operative plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective control of inbound and outbound warehouse parts stock. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Control: Perform thorough quality checks on stock deliveries to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Inventory Management: Identify and place inbound parts into the correct locations, maintaining a well-organized stockroom and adhering to First In, First Out (FIFO) stock control management processes.
- Pick and Pack: Pick customer orders quickly and accurately, ensuring timely and efficient preparation for dispatch.
- Stock Security: Maintain stock securely and in good condition, adhering to health and safety regulations and manual handling practices.
- Collaboration: Assist the Warehouse Manager with regular perpetual stock checks and provide support to trade customers visiting the TPS Centre.
- Process Efficiency: Ensure faster moving parts are located in a convenient location to improve picking efficiency and provide the highest levels of customer service.
- Documentation: Deal with exchange units appropriately, process returns swiftly, and complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.
- System Utilization: Utilize and update all systems effectively to carry out allotted tasks, ensuring seamless integration with business processes and guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience in a warehouse or inventory management role preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, as well as stand for long periods of time.
