Zapp is a leading digital-first, premium convenience retailer in South West London, and we're looking for a talented Demand Forecasting Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize data analytics, market trends, and customer behavior insights to generate precise demand forecasts for groceries and household goods, taking into account seasonality and trends.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the S&OP process to ensure seamless inventory management and minimize excess stock and waste.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring product availability while minimizing disruptions.
  • Define and track KPIs relevant to online grocery and convenience retail, using data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Proactively identify and address potential supply chain risks, implementing contingency plans to maintain consistent product availability.
  • Lead regular S&OP meetings with stakeholders to review performance, discuss demand-supply gaps, and align on corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in demand forecasting, Sales & Operations Planning, and supply chain management in the online grocery or retail industry.
  • Degree in Mathematics and Computing, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with proficiency in using G-suite packages and advanced Excel tools. SQL and Python skills are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, inventory management, and distribution strategies specific to the online grocery and convenience sector.
