About the Role

BAM Nuttall is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the South West of England. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in delivering projects that meet our high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards in accordance with Company policy
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Manage and supervise junior commercial staff, providing guidance and support for their development
  • Provide commercial input and advice to project teams, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of projects
  • Monitor and control costs, ensuring adherence to budget and contractual requirements
  • Produce regular cost and value reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring successful project delivery
Requirements
  • Successful experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong track record of commercial management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a positive influence on outcomes
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Desirable: Early Contractor Involvement experience, experience of target cost contracts, and working towards CICES membership or equivalent
