We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Pharmacy Stores team in the Pharmacy Department at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Receiving, processing, and delivering medicines and IV fluids to wards
- Checking, receiving, and storing medicines, ensuring they are stored appropriately and securely
- Participating in stock-taking and checking of medicines, requiring attention to detail
- Undertaking various housekeeping duties, including dealing with queries, checking, and filing documents, processing waste and excess medicines
- Supporting the efficient and safe operation of the pharmacy department
- Basic key skills, preferably gained through secondary education
- Desirable: Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent, Maths and English at C (grade 4) or above, proof of qualifications
- Desirable: Working within a pharmacy or healthcare environment
- Essential: Able to use a range of computer programmes relevant to the post, flexible to changing work routines, work as part of a team, good communication & interpersonal skills, attention to detail, able to handle moderate loads, able to use own judgement to prioritise tasks, willingness to complete funded Level 2 qualification
