Job Description:

IN2-AV Recruitment is seeking a skilled Freelance AV Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. As a Freelance AV Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and services to our clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve issues with AV systems at customers' sites through thorough troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
  • Perform necessary repairs and component replacements on AV equipment directly at customers' sites, maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
  • Create detailed reports after each service visit, documenting identified faults, actions taken, and any additional maintenance or remedial actions required.
  • Install and integrate a diverse range of AV/IT systems, including broadcast systems, displays, signage, video conferencing solutions, audio setups, and control systems.
  • Interpret written directives, including schematic diagrams, M&E drawings, and cable structures.
  • Complete first fix cable routing, pulling, and cable identity, logging progress in working documents and schematics.

Requirements:

  • Experience in AV system installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Strong technical knowledge of AV systems and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
