We are seeking a dedicated Band 7, BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT) to join our dynamic team focused on mental health support for children and adolescents. We welcome applications for both full-time and part-time positions, including term-time contracts.

Our Mental Health Support Teams are part of a groundbreaking initiative aimed at enhancing the mental health and well-being of young individuals facing mild to moderate mental health challenges within educational settings. The primary objectives of our teams include:

  • Providing guidance and training to educational staff through consultations
  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions for young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues, either individually or in groups
  • Assisting schools in implementing a Comprehensive School Approach to Mental Health

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with delivering evidence-based CBT interventions in school environments for children and young people aged 5-18. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of young individuals presenting with moderate mental health concerns and varying levels of complexity. Additionally, the therapist will co-facilitate parenting programs based on CBT principles.

Collaboration with senior clinical staff is essential to enhance the quality and effectiveness of CBT-informed interventions. The therapist will also contribute to the professional development of staff through supervision, training, and consultation, ensuring the application of CBT principles in clinical practice. A willingness to pursue a postgraduate qualification in supervising low-intensity CBT interventions is encouraged to further enhance our clinical supervision capabilities.

The position will be based at our main facility, with potential responsibilities at other locations as needed. This is a permanent role.
