About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our friendly, award-winning team as a Laundry Assistant at Avery Healthcare. As a Laundry Assistant, you will support the Head Housekeeper in providing a laundering service in support of the hospitality services function, ensuring a high-quality and comprehensive care service is delivered to residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all laundering duties, including understanding wash guide instructions and laundering requirements of a wide range of textiles.
  • Practice safe systems of work across various tasks, particularly moving and handling loads, by assessing risk and considering personal safety and the safety of residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Contribute fully to teamwork, responding positively to colleagues, and promptly acting on all reasonable work instructions.

  • Demonstrate understanding of the laundering requirements applicable to various textiles.
