We are seeking a highly skilled Molecular Biologist to join our team as a Genome Engineering Specialist. The successful candidate will work closely with our genome editing team to design and validate genome-edited mouse models.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and validate genome-edited mouse models using advanced molecular biology techniques
- Liaise with genome editing service users to ensure their needs are met
- Coordinate molecular biology tasks in the MCB team and collaborate with other teams in the Mary Lyon Centre
- Review data and production processes as part of a team
- Design new engineered alleles and genotyping assays
- Disseminate knowledge in genome engineering through publications and workshops
- PhD in Biological Sciences or equivalent, with a strong background in molecular biology
- Understanding of gene structure and function
- Experience in genome editing and gene targeting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
