Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Conveyancing Solicitor to join our team at The New Homes Group. As a Law Graduate, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in conveyancing and become a qualified Property Lawyer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion, registration, and closure of the file.
  • Take instructions, keep accurate file notes, communicate with clients and third parties, and complete tasks.
  • Draft legal documents, including Standard Precedent Letters, Contract Packs, Exchange and Completion letters, general correspondence, and Land Registry and HMRC forms.
  • Carry out Pre-completion, Land Registry, and Conveyancing searches accurately and timely.
  • Ensure the file is ready for exchange and completion, making sure all the correct and necessary paperwork and funds are in place.
  • Carry out Post Completion work, including preparing and sending applications to the Land Registry, Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions, file closures, and checking account ledgers.

Requirements:

  • Qualified candidates with a Law Degree, LPC, Solicitor, or Legal Executive with 1 year of conveyancing experience are preferred.
  • Excellent communicator, who can demonstrate good time management, alongside organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Case Management Systems and Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook, is preferred but not essential.
