Position Overview

Are you a skilled technician with experience in generator systems or combined heat and power (CHP) technology? This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the water sector within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be part of our renewable energy division, responsible for both scheduled maintenance and urgent repairs.

Your duties will include:
  • Ensuring optimal performance of equipment and facilities.
  • Conducting troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Analyzing malfunctioning equipment and providing insights into failure causes.
  • Actively participating in a dedicated maintenance team, utilizing your expertise to recommend enhancements for underperforming systems.
  • Engaging in a standby rotation as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Relevant mechanical qualifications, such as City and Guilds, or completion of a recognized apprenticeship.
  • Preferred dual-skilled electrical training, alongside strong health and safety awareness and IT proficiency.
  • Experience as a Mechanical/Electrical engineer or equivalent NVQ level 3 certification.
  • Background in generator service firms or the power generation sector.
  • Ability to perform risk assessments effectively.
  • Proven capability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Self-driven with a quick learning ability, meticulous attention to detail, and high accuracy levels.
  • Willingness to pursue further training for professional growth.
  • Effective communication skills.
