Position Summary

We are in search of a skilled and driven Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role will encompass the management of all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, and adherence to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with robust analytical capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of financial management principles. This position is designed for a proactive individual who can adapt to the evolving demands of a rapidly growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations:

  • Supervise daily financial activities, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
  • Ensure precise and timely financial reporting, encompassing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Coordinate the preparation of monthly VAT returns.

Regulatory Adherence:

  • Guarantee compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and submit necessary financial reports to regulatory authorities.
  • Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Oversee cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
  • Manage relationships with banking institutions.

Internal Controls:

  • Develop and implement robust internal controls to protect company assets and maintain financial integrity.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; MBA or CPA is preferred.
  • Part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in industry, ideally within healthcare or regulated sectors.
  • Experience in the medical cannabis field is advantageous.

Desirable:

  • Strong grasp of financial principles and practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Xero, Excel).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
