Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a highly skilled Associate HPB CNS to join our team at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain effective communication with various individuals and groups on complex, potentially stressful topics in a range of situations.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Liaise with Oncology teams at The Christie and other Acute Oncology Teams to ensure seamless care for patients.
  • Patient Support: Support patients admitted with complications of treatment or oncological emergencies such as metastatic spinal cord compression (MSCC).
  • Investigation Support: Support inpatients/outpatients undergoing investigations to establish primary cancer site.
  • Professional Development: Develop knowledge and practice within Acute Oncology and contribute to the development of services within the specialty.
  • Health and Safety: Monitor and maintain health, safety, and security of self and others in own work area.
  • Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and promote people's equality, diversity, and rights.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Assess and address people's health and wellbeing needs when those needs are complex and change across the caseload, utilizing advanced communication skills.
  • Leadership and Development: Develop practice in addressing individuals' health and wellbeing needs and lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas, and work practice.
  • Research and Development: Assist with research and development initiatives.
