About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in West Wales. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of young people who have experienced significant trauma, mental health issues, and other challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision and Care: Provide vigilant and compassionate care and supervision to young people in a residential setting, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of all residents through regular checks and proactive risk management.
  • Support and Guidance: Offer emotional support and guidance to young people who may experience distress, helping them to build resilience and achieve their full potential.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, therapists, and educators, to provide comprehensive support to young people.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience supporting children with challenging behavior and childhood trauma is essential. Previous experience in a children's residential home or as a support worker is advantageous.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required.
  • Registration: Must be registered or willing to register with Social Care Wales.
  • DBS Check: Must have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
