Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee SHEQ Advisor to join our Power & Civils Distribution business based in Kilmarnock. As a Trainee SHEQ Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the business to give guidance, support, advice, and governance on all SHEQ-related subjects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate and Implement SHEQ Strategy
  • Assist and Promote Local & External Audit Programme
  • Ensure Business Compliance with HSES Regulations, Company Policies, and BMS
  • Provide SHEQ Advice and Support at Operational Level
  • Identify Site SHEQ Training Needs
  • Support SHEQ Across the Business
  • Communicate and Engage with Key Stakeholders
  • Support Business During Near Miss/Incident/Accident Investigations
  • Support SHEQ Upskilling and Development of Business Operational Teams
  • Promote SHEQ Initiatives and Innovations Across Projects

Requirements

  • Ideal Qualifications
    • Relevant professional qualification, such as NEBOSH or IOSH
  • Prior Experience
    • Prior experience in SHEQ, health and safety, or work in construction, utilities, DNO, or ICP environment
  • Key Skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Analytical skills with attention to detail
    • Experience in reviewing and producing SHEQ reports for managers and clients
