GPU Hardware Modelling Engineer Role

At Apple Inc., we're pushing the boundaries of innovation in the field of computer graphics and hardware. As a GPU Hardware Modelling Engineer, you'll be part of a talented team responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge graphics processing units (GPUs) that power our products, including Apple Watch, Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

We're seeking highly skilled individuals with a passion for real-time computer graphics, computer architecture, and GPU programming. If you're excited about the prospect of working on complex graphics algorithms, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving innovation in the field of GPU hardware, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop bit-accurate C/C++ models of GPU architectures
  • Collaborate with content, verification, and software teams to identify model and hardware bugs
  • Integrate functional models, analyzing accuracy and presenting results and recommendations
  • Partner with GPU hardware and software teams during design bring-up and driver bring-up
Requirements
  • Excellent C++ programming and scripting skills
  • Strong communication skills, self-motivated, and well-organized
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep understanding and curiosity of computer architecture (GPU/CPU/SoC micro-architecture knowledge is a plus)
  • Modelling knowledge (experience with interpreting functional specs and developing hardware architectural models is a plus)
