Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing Specialist

Job Summary:

Spencer & James Limited is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of social housing projects, including cost management, tender strategies, and valuations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Management: Prepare and submit monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) and progress reports to ensure efficient cost control and maximize project value.
  • Tender Strategies: Understand and apply internal and external tender strategies to achieve planned profit targets.
  • Valuations & Cash Flow: Coordinate with stakeholders to agree on external valuations and manage cash flow to enhance project value.
  • Subcontract Management: Ensure all subcontract management processes are completed, focusing on procurement, measurement, and valuation.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience at a Main Contractor working on Void or Responsive projects.
  • A strong understanding of NHF SOR's.
