About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Plumber Specialist to join our team at First Military Recruitment. As a key member of our heating maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive repairs service to communal heating systems in dwellings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and Installation: Diagnose, source parts, and carry out repairs to commercial heating parts in communal dwellings.
  • Heating System Maintenance: Replace thermostatic valves, circulation pumps, and radiators, as well as associated controls within the dwelling.
  • Pipework Repair and Replacement: Repair and re-pipe pipework within the dwelling to ensure minimal disruption to tenants.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent communication with tenants to keep them informed about the repair process.
  • Teamwork and Time Management: Work collaboratively with the team to ensure works are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Stock Management and Reporting: Manage van stock correctly, submit relevant paperwork to replenish stock, and ensure first-time fix where possible.
  • Mobile Device Usage: Use mobile PDA device correctly at all times and report faults quickly to the supervisor/manager.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in plumbing.
  • Qualifications: City & Guilds level 2 & 3 plumbing, Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training, and excellent knowledge of communal plumbing.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, able to work alone and within a team, and a full driving license.
