Economics Faculty Position at Newcastle University
Newcastle University's Business School is seeking a distinguished Economics Professor to join their vibrant Economics Department. As a member of the Department, you will be involved in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The ideal candidate will hold or be close to obtaining a relevant PhD and demonstrate a passion for economics education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality teaching and student support
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic research
- Engage in scholarly research activities and publish in reputable journals
- Participate in a range of administrative tasks to support teaching and learning
- Operate as an active citizen in the Economics and Business School community
Requirements for Grade F Professor
- Evidence of outstanding educational experience and academic leadership
- Ability to engage with external stakeholders for research impact and collaboration
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and sustainability in education
Requirements for Grade G Professor
- Experience in supervising research projects and mentoring students
- Design and delivery of high-quality teaching materials and academic programs
- Ability to undertake a management and leadership role in the Department
Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant subject for Grade F
- HE teaching qualification for Grade G
