Job Title: Mechanical Electrical Fitter

Lionsgate Contractors is seeking an experienced Mechanical Electrical Fitter to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and fitting duties to support the commissioning of a new project, as well as onsite maintenance and ongoing maintenance of the site and project lifespan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assembly of mechanical pneumatic components and subassemblies, with some electrical support with connections and testing.
  • Delivering maintenance tasks for other site systems and equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting manufacturing and assembly drawings, and creating work instructions.
  • Checking the complete assembly for alignment, quality, and functionality.
  • Ensuring personal and team safety by adhering to safety rules and policies.
Requirements:
  • Experience in using hand and power tools, small-scale fabrications.
  • Experience in commissioning new project mechanical installations, inspections, and testing routines.
  • Knowledge of electrical installations and fault-finding.
  • Ability to perform basic electrical assembly and read electrical circuit drawings.
  • Proficiency in cooling system assembly, including setting to work, filling, venting, purging, and draining.
  • Experience in supporting and developing safe systems of work, including conducting risk assessments.
  • Familiarity with lifting operations for Slinging and Rigging, with lifting requirements less than 1 tonne.
